Privacy Policy

Velvet Tarot is made by Kalifi ("we"). This policy is short because the app keeps your information on your iPhone.

What stays on your iPhone. Your name, birth date, birth time and birthplace, questions, readings, notes and journal are stored only on your device. They are never sent to us or to anyone else. We run no servers that receive them.

Your birthplace. When you search for where you were born, what you type is sent to Apple Maps to suggest places, as in any app that uses Apple's maps. Apple handles that search under its own privacy policy; we never receive it. Only the place you choose (its name, coordinates and time zone) is kept, on your device, to work out your rising sign.

Readings. Readings are composed on your device from the deck's own texts. No artificial-intelligence service, ours or anyone else's, receives your questions.

Purchases. Subscriptions and reading packs are sold through Apple. Apple processes the payment; we never receive your card or account details. Apple tells the app only what you are entitled to.

Notifications. If you allow them, reminders are scheduled locally on your device. Turn them off at any time in the app's Profile or in iOS Settings.

No tracking, no ads, no analytics. The app contains no advertising, no analytics and no third-party tracking.

Erasing your data. In the app, Profile ▸ Erase everything removes your profile, journal and readings from the device. Deleting the app removes everything as well. Purchases stay with your Apple account and can be restored.

Children. The app is not directed to children under 13.

Changes. If this policy changes, the new version will be published at this address with a new date.
